A very nice cathedral friendly staff on site, well situated within the town with shops, eating places and other interesting areas.

This is a must see if your in Turo. Free entry into a beautiful Cathedral... My photos are good but don't do it justice. After viewing inside you can visit the restaurant for cream tea or simply browse through the shop, where I'm sure something will take your fancy.
A lot of history to explore inside, very quiet and a strong sense of calm inside.
The Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Truro is a Church of England cathedral in the city of Truro, Cornwall. It was built between 1880 and 1910 to a Gothic Revival design by John Loughborough Pearson on the site of the parish church of St Mary. It is one of only three cathedrals in the United Kingdom with three spires.
Spent a lovely morning looking round Truro Cathedral inside and out. Very impressed by the architecture for a modern cathedral ( 1880 ). Lot's of pieces of art in the form of sculptures, paintings. Matchstick cathedral. Lovely pipe organ. Very ornate font. Very good Cathedral cafe. Food and drink reasonably priced. Pot of tea for one 1.40 and I managed 3 cups out of it. Large slice of carrot cake - 3. Can use the cafe separate to the Cathedral which is free to enter anyway. Donation suggested. Guide book 3.50. Which goes towards the upkeep of cathedral.
A must place to visit, the architecture is outstanding .
Beautiful 'new' cathedral. Good cafe too. The scones were delicious.
What a lovely chatedral! Quiet, majestic, tidy and covid-compatible with one way visit plus very friendly staff! It's worth visiting Truro solely for the cathedral even
