Highly knowledgeable professional staff. Can't thank the guys enough. I had been wearing a certain brand of shoes for years which unbeknown to me were contributing to my foot problems. One visit to the store, sound advice given, one new pair of trainers bought and job done. Great will be back.
Very rude staff member. It seems they have a problem with people having a gait analysis and then buying trainers online and the man serving me treated me as such. He refused to properly answer any of my questions about my running style, instead continuously reinforcing that I can't simply take what he says and buy online. He was belittling, rude, and simply unhelpful. I would reccomend going elsewhere.
Although you wouldn't say this from the outside, it's a lovely and highly specialised shop that serves well its purpose. Members of staff are lovely and very knowledgeable, liking spending time with customers ame advise them on the best running products to buy. Very safe covid wise, as customers need to wait outside if the shop is at capacity; there are hand sanitisers at the entrance; customers are reminded to wear face masks.
I'm 'On' & Up & Running - Having got into running since 'lockdown' my distances have increased and I completed my first 10K Tough Runner recently in my 20 year old Oasics. Time to get some new shoes I thought and after much research leaned towards a pair of On Airs but not wishing to make a 140 mistake thought I'd go to a proper running shop rather than buy on the internet. Living near to Cheltenham Up & Running was an obvious choice. The shop was well located with pay and display parking nearby. Sensible Covid arrangements were in place and the assistant greeted me quickly and I explained I wanted to buy some decent running shoes and nodded towards the Ons on display. A quick VT slow motion playback of my running style on the treadmill revealed I had a fairly neutral running style and a conversations to the frequency, distance and surfaces I was putting in produced three choices of make. Interestingly I have always been a size 9, I thought, but the assistant noted my right foot in 9s (which seemed perfectly fine) was tight and suggest 9.5, which immediately felt more comfortable. I tried all three on and was pleased that my preferred research pair were in fact the pair I preferred. I had looked at various brands and joined mailing lists to get 10% off codes but commented nothing had arrived from On Air. No problem the assist answered I can do you 10% off those. I left very satisfied but having learned a lesson. If I'd stuck with the internet I would now be running around, blissfully unaware, in a 140 size 9 Ons, instead of a better fitting 126 size 9.5 pair. Thank you Up & Running, my first run on Strava in them and I hit PBs for 10K, 5K and 2 miles.

Great service. Staff very knowledgeable. Shop was busy but they still took the time. I can be pretty indecisive and had shoes on and off, was on and off the treadmill but they were great throughout. My wife and son were bored though. Ended up getting new running shoe, socks and elastic laces for the cost of the shoes new from the companies website. Will definitely go back!
