Urban Retreat Space is a hidden gem, found just a stones throw away from Manchester piccadilly train station towards Ardwick. This multifunctional space provides the perfect relaxing, safe environment. The centre is dedicated to providing trauma therapy through a vast array of disciplines, from yoga, meditation and massage to dancing and group singing. Targeted at supporting Manchester’s growing homeless population, many who have been affected by trauma, Urban retreat space provides a tranquil environment to reduce stress, anxiety, depression and reverse the impact of trauma. Max and Dan have worked incredibly hard to fundraise and make their vision of opening this facility a reality.... and it is a truly wonderful space. I was met with warm smiles, surrounded with positivity, and the most inspiring, caring, calm people you could wish to meet, all willing to volunteer to share their expertise and their time to support the centre. What An amazing place, from the moment stepped into this haven I was welcomed with cake and a warm welcome. I can tell max and Dan have worked really hard to get this place off the ground and situated near picadilly Station it's got perfect transport and walking routes pretty straight forward. I can tell all involved are really passionate and are doing some great work for the community I hope to get further involved in this project as I think it's really going to take off in a big way. The whole place has been furnished to a professional standard with Infrared heaters for hot yoga and various massage suites ina functional room which echoes their encouraging value and solidarity thst you feel when you step into the sanctuary. Highly recommend getting involed and comming here as Its for a great cause and people can come together share ideas grow and support eachother. Get involved in this great project it's great fun and the room can be used functionally which I believe is one of the reasons for it opening so everyone can have a voice, a space and a safe haven no matter the situation!
