I highly recommend Giles as a guitar/music teacher. Two of my sons had guitar lessons with Giles, and they relished the experience, gaining skills and great pleasure. Giles gives something special: not just the tuition, and the bands, and the mini-gigs, but also a thoughtful approach to the developing child. He helped keep our son going through the stresses of A Levels, and was an important role-model. Thank you so much.

Our son has been having lessons with Giles for 2 years and really enjoyed his guitar tuition. Giles is a gifted teacher who really cares about his students success and teaches with immense enthusiasm. He is also offering band classes to give his pupils the experience to play in a group. My son and his friends were taught guitar and other instruments by Giles - he was my son's music teacher at his secondary school, and he was an inspiration. Later, my son and his friends attended several of Giles' holiday rock classes, where they recorded their music as well. He was such an inspiration to my son and his friends; two of them are professional musicians now!
Giles has been and remains to be a particularly impressive guitar tutor. I do not think I have met many other people who are as invested in the students they teach. Not only does he manage to instil his passion for music upon his students, but he also drives them to become as good as they can be. You wont find many better influences, nor better musicians, around. He helped me not only musically, but as a person, by structuring the lessons not only as a musical exercise, but an exercise in organised thought.
Our son has been taught the drums by Giles for several years. Giles has an easy going but very effective style of teaching which really encourages learning and enjoyment of the lessons. What's more Giles goes to great lengths to maximise the experience for his pupils. He organises them into Rock Groups who then perform at special shows in local venues which is great for them. He also offers opportunites to explore marketing, writing songs and studio sessions to record their performances. so they really do get that whole 'Rock Star Experience'. Lessons themselves are held at a purpose built studio. I would thoroughly recommend Giles as a teacher.
Giles is an impressive tutor, very encouraging and experienced. His studio is the perfect place for lessons.
