The boardwalk on the lake needs fixing up but its a nice place to run/walk/cycle.

Managed by The Forestry Commission this is 15 Hectares of land. Loads of paths to walk. The old Dock is a beautiful place to stop feed the bird life (no bread please). A great place to take the kids for and an adventure. Loads of dog walkers but a few people feel a little vulnerable as it's not busy. Sadly the Council Recycle Plant has loads stolen clothes, electrical appliances are destroyed up there. In summer, teens often use it for riding il/legal motor bikes. Generally they don't bother people. Take a mobile incase you get worried up there. I personally love it!
A great walk in these covid times or take the bike up Cross Lane
