I have recently returned from an amazing trip to Nepal with WBN and wow, what an experience. From chatting to the helpful team in the office, to rafting with Nathan, Josh, Dinesh, Ruby and Ishor on the river, this trip was perfect in every way. The food was outstanding and the guides attention to detail around safety made me feel really well cared for. I will definitely be back for another adventure. This time I am thinking about the Zambezi!

I had been looking forward to doing the Zambezi for over 20 years. My husband and I chose this company to do The Mighty Zambezi trip and it was EPIC! I can't think of one thing on the trip that I would've changed. I was initially afraid of doing this trip, even with all of the whitewater experience I've had over the years. However, our guides had the best training from anyone I'd ever rafted with before. Beach-sleeping under the stars with wonderful food and libations around the campfire was second-to-none. Even the "Johnny" had wonderful scenery. We also had two surprised bonuses on our trip. The owner Hamish joined us by taking one of the supply rafts down---he's a trip! He talked me and my husband into taking duckies down the rapids on day 2 (well, he didn't have to try that hard to talk us into it). He and I still keep in touch. We also had world record holder Tyler Bradt as a saftey-kayaker! The safari trip was also wonderful with the luxury tent accommodations and the park was incredible. We've stayed in touch with several people on the trip through facebook or messaging. I even did a raft trip down the Ocoee last year with one the Zambezi alums. Only a cool person would book this kind of trip, which makes the experience even better. It's these life-experiences that make the best investments. You can't walk away from this trip without it changing you for the better. I can't wait to go on another adventure with Water By Nature!
Best experience of my Life!!!!!!! I rafted the Zambezi river along with a Safari last summer as a belated Honeymoon with my husband. This was my very first rafting trip and as a non swimmer i was a little apprehensive. But i had nothing to worry about, the whole thing from start to finish was just amazing. I felt 100% safe the entire time. The food on camp was delicious, the guides were so professional and friendly. And the rapids were just unreal. I would without a doubt recommended Water by Nature to anyone looking for an amazing adventure. I cant wait for my next trip.
Been on the Mighty Zambezi, Rio Cotahuasi and Coruh (Turkey) trips. The Water By Nature team are fantastic: from those in the office, helping with flights, insurance and nervous pre-trip questions; to the team on the river, who are amazing. They organise absolutely everything. The food is amazing (cold beer and ice cream-not together-on the Zambezi!). The team work really hard and always have time for a chat and a few laughs. I've travelled with 3 different guides, who have all been great. Most importantly, their eye to safety and rescue skills (which I have called upon more than once) are top notch. Each trip I've been on has been a mixture of couples, friends and lone travellers and this is a great way travel on your own. I've never felt at all alone on any of my trips. Great company. Great times. If you're a bit nervous but thinking one of these trips might be for you, I'd say: Stop thinking and start booking. You'll have the time of your life.
I rafted the Zambezi on a 4 day trip and then went on safari with Water by Nature and loved every minute. The river guides were incredible and looked after us all really well. The food was fantastic and I really enjoyed the camping overnight on the riverbank. I would certainly encourage anyone to travel with this company
I went with Water by Nature on the 4 Day rafting trip on the Zambezi from Rapid #1 to Ghostrider rapid during September of 2017. During the time I was with the company everything was excellent. The guides were highly trained and professional. The porters were friendly and extremely helpful. The safety kayakers and rafters were always in position to help out (even though they were never needed). The accommodations and food were great both on and off the river. I really appreciated the way that Water by Nature hired so many local people to help run the company. It definitely added much more of a cultural feel to have local stories and people with knowledge of the locations we were visiting. Each night we would spend time hanging out with our safety kayakers and guides and talk about our trip, our lives, and the world around us with an incredibly diverse group of people from all walks of life. Overall, I enjoyed this trip even more than I thought that I would. Everything was taken care of in an outstanding manner and everyone got the experience they wanted. Those that wanted to help out with portages, packing up, unpacking, etc. were more than welcome. Those that wanted to relax were never discouraged. It was a trip that was masterfully run in every aspect. I also saw the difference in Water by Nature and the other local outfitters firsthand as I went rafting with another local company. The quality of safety especially was quite different between the two. Go with Water by Nature and you certainly won't regret it. Whether you want to go for a day or for multiples weeks, these guys offer a trip. If I could give a 6th star I would.
Water by Nature rafting was such a great experience, Had an amazing time rafting the Zambezi river. The guides were really fun and knowledgeable yet safety conscious, the food was amazing and prepared fresh which was nice being on the river for a few days & the scenery was stunning. Would highly recommend doing an experience with WBN as they know how to do a unique and fun adventure.
Have joined water by nature on many rafting trips. All of which have been fantastic, the guides knowledge and skills of their craft are unbeatable. The trips are exciting and full of laughs, you can join in as much as you want. The rafting is out of this world, running grade 5 rapids gets the adrenaline pumping. Each location offers a different challenge, the Zambezi give you stunning rapids and wildlife, the Grand Canyon has the rapids and the pheonominal views of nature and the chance to explore the canyon on foot. Water By Nature takes you on a journey, not just a holiday.
