Just back from a great day with Steve on the Severn. Despite the conditions being bright, low and clear he put us onto some Barbel. Throughout the day he shared knowledge, experience and stories - just what you want from a guide. Not just a one trick pony Steve has a huge wealth of experience across all species and I wouldn’t hesitate to use him for a learning experience. There wasn’t a let up in chat even when the rod bent over. The ‘15lb’ barbel that gave me me a helluva run around had us in awe and will live with me for a while until the reality of a foul hooked 6lb barbel surfaced! Four barbel and a lump of a Chub graced the net during the day, clearly all down to the moon phase....(private joke) and of course Steve. If you want to experience the power of a Barbel Steve is your man. Tight lines Steve & enjoy Kenya. Thx Jeff

Spent a great day with Steve yesterday on the Middle Severn, he has a wealth of experience and is great company, we managed some very nice Barbel in the afternoon which for me as a novice was the perfect way to conclude a great day out
