Came to Derwish tonight and the place does NOT disappoint. It was very busy and very loud throughout, the staff were ran ragged (I overheard they were a staff member down) but my god do they work! Service was excellent! We were sat promptly (despite arriving 15 mins early) and given menus, we were left to choose from a decent selection and in hindsight should have skipped the starter as the main plates / platters were very big! We were served with lovely bread and dips (complimentary) and We chose the vine leaf wraps and the tabbouli which were both so flavoursome, lamb casserole and lamb ribs were our mains. We LOVED the grilled lamb ribs, salty, but the charcoal flavour was amazing. The meat was tender and well cooked (rare/ medium rare) perfect! The casserole was rich and had plenty of meat in, unlike some restaurants! We were well looked after by 2x particular staff, the very slim guy,I reckon lead the shift and did so brilliantly and a young lady who called me lucky for bringing a beautiful lady... it's a compliment that wins all round! We aren't local, we are sampling food from around the world I the one week that we have some time off together... this restaurant is winning hands down! Great choice!

Absolutely fantastic place. The service is brilliant and very family friendly. We were catered for at the last minute when no one else had space on bank holiday Monday. The place is well lit and very clean. The food choice vast and each plate was so so full. We had an excellent meal and all the family were very happy. We will go again.
