Canal side walk on pathways through peaceful countryside. This is also a cycle path. Small carparks can get busy. Can be muddy during winter months. Great place to escape for a walk with lots of wildlife, swans, ducks, herons, coots and moorhens. Also clear water and fish visible.

The water is crystal clear at this end, nice & peaceful with some historic kilns & kingfishers to boot!! whats not to love....
Tranquility Personified! Eastern end of the Grand Western Canal. Nothing here but a picnic bench, information board and the odd tweety bird. Well worth the walk or cycle as you see fit, the canal path itself is generally flat and well defined, the only confusing bit is when the canal disappears into a tunnel and you have to break off and cross over a road to rejoin it.
Nice ride from Tiverton along the Tow Path but there's nothing there. A pub , The Globe is about 2 miles extra up the road though
The old lock marks the northern end of the canal still full of water. A small car parking area is nearby.
First look at the end of the tivvy canal I normally look around the middle at Sampford Peverel along to tivvy basins in the town
