this cafe is lovely! the staff where externally welcoming and friendly from the moment we walked in, they asked us how our day was and walked us to our upstairs table. the interior itself is stunning with a massive “feature” blackboard with the menus written on it. the whole cafe is bordered with beautiful fairy lights which really finish the place off. our upstairs table was by the beautiful bay windows overlooking the courtyard below. the coffee was superb and the food even better. i would recommend the bubble and squeak, with bacon, very highly. we can’t wait to be back!
My favourite cafe in Wells and always very busy which is a good sign! Another positive here is they close at 5pm when most others close at 4pm. Staff very friendly and doing a great job with cleaning seats and tables for each customer in this covid era - highly recommended
Good view of courtyard medieval buildings/entrance. Great food...i had a tasty bowl of porridge with fruit compote, and excellent service.
Above and beyond service. Fab food. Excellent coffee and very capable but sensitive marshalling of people with minimised seating to usual capacity. Shepherded us in out of intermittent but torrential showers. Not made to feel rushed despite an obvious need to turn seating around swiftly. Very impressed.
