Due to COVID no browsing allowed but you can reserve books online or by phone. Collection then by appointment where you collect your order of books. Tried it for the first time this week and was effortless.

West Bromwich library is sutuated on the High Street. It is an old building with lovely architecture. It is a fairly large building with a large floor area of books and computers. There are smaller rooms upstairs and downstairs used for a variety of meetings and activities. A small cafe is also located downstairs together with on-site public toilet facilities.

Unable to renewal library books using phone renewal line, nor on website. Called the library and spoke to polite member of staff however he could not renew my books and asked me to call back. I'm frustrated with the lack of a straight forward system to renew borrowed items in this day and age.

One of worst libraries ever visited. The computers are of stone age and take forever to turn on. I had requested an academic book a month ago and have not got it yet. Although a variety of novels and story books are available, for students like me computers and academic book matter. highly disappointed. Even developing countries computers and libraries are better than this One.

built in the early 20th century, the building (after some renovations) still seems to be perfectly adequate for a 21st century library... the last time I went in, I noticed the reference section upstairs (i.e. the archive section and reference book you couldn't take out, etc) is now no longer there... I assume with the internet you may now not need it, although I remember scrolling though microfilm/microfiche there (a long time ago now), it's a shame they've all gone - I assume all this information is available in the internet now... downstairs they have free wifi and a dozen or so computers for the public to use & they also have a special area/section for children (along with some toys)...

Largest library in the Sandwell area. Large number of books for the whole family. A reference section. Audio and video selection plus the use of computers but you will have to book in advance for use. Also there's free wi-fi access. Great place for children to read the latest book's in paperback edition and audio formats.
