Kumon is such a great system, I have used it for maths for both my son and daughter. Liz is a kind and dedicated teacher, she helped my daughter go from strength to strength in her maths.

My son (14 years old) has been attending Kumon in Coney Hall with Liz since last year. He attended another Kumon centre before this one before we moved to the area. Firstly I can’t recommend Kumon highly enough as the very foundation for maths that I believe every child should be provided with. It develops confidence, the ability to work at speed, the ability to tackle a large amount of questions without being daunted and most importantly teaches the brain to speak the language of numbers. To see the difference Kumon has made to my son’s ability in maths has been quite incredible. Secondly, I would not hesitate to recommend Liz Urie and her centre in Coney Hall. My son started with her having had quite a break. Liz assessed him thoroughly and has worked hard to tailor his work to getting him back on track. When the country was put on lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic, despite the huge amount of students and work that that entails, she has run a seamless operation, immediately introducing WhatsApp video calls to continue the support to her students and only a week later had Zoom up and running with a simple system in place to book appointments with her. The service and level of support offered to the students has been quite incredible and it must have been a huge task! Liz has kept the worksheets coming and the progress on track, despite the challenges and dramatic change in operational set up. I cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you Liz and your staff!
