Waitress was warm and friendly. We ordered the calamari and garlic Prawns which were very good and arrived within a few minutes from ordering. The mains took a little longer, but we ordered the rack of ribs and sirloin steak medium so can understand cook times might be longer. The steak came overdone (medium well to well done in places) and the waitress did say they would be happy to replace it, but I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for it to arrive while my partner ate alone also blaming suppliers for the quality of the meat isn't my problem and the quality isn't the issue it was the cooking. Overall a nice evening and staff were all lovely, shame the steak let it down. We weren't offered a dessert menu so I don't know if its even available but we were full enough.

Agree with many reviews food is very good, BUT, a number of people have reserved tables to find on arrival there is no booking, this happened to us. Why is this happening so frequently. If staff are employed to serve the customers surely they have to be able to to take simple instructions over the phone, and properly record the booking, if not people willing not return. I was told that the 50/50 was being continued by the Woolpack after the government scheme ended. But this is not the case as soft and hot drinks are not included like they were in Aug.
What an amazing lunch we had, food was so yummy. The pub has been done up to an amazing standard we really did have a fab time. We will be back.great value for money too the lunch time deal was fab.
Service & staff excellent. Food presentation good but quality of Ham poor with our Ham egg & chips. Need a good honey roast ham not pink steamed product. It doesn't cost much more.
