I arrived at 7.45pm for a table myself and my sister had booked, then ordered food at about 8.30pm, which subsequently arrived at about 9.15pm. I told the very nice service staff that my food was late and under cooked: the 'rump steak' was so thick that it went from being rare at the edge to just fully raw and unedible in the middle. and also, incredibly late. When it came to payment, and I repeated such concern, and literally would have been happy with any kind of acknowledgement upon payment, yet I was told I should have said something earlier, called unpleasant names, and told if we didn't pay in full, we would have the Police called on us. I tried to explain that my comments were absolutely not unfounded, that we had said something, and was repeatedly personally abused by the landlord. This may seem like a derogatory comment, yet this is literally the first negative comment I have left on Google Reviews, and will be pursuing this instance further: this is the first time in my life, as a 29 year old man, I have felt prejudiced against as a gay man, having a meal out with my sister, that we were made to feel sub-standard to other customers, and blatant sexist comments were thrown at us. Myself and the person I was dining with were told to 'pay up or we'll ring the Police' and I am disgusted by the way I was treated tonight. I have left two stars, yet only because the staff who came to the table were lovely and understanding. I am disgusted with the landlord of this pub.

Awesome food and staff. there are great daily specials and wonderful atmosphere. Go here, NOT wetherspoons.... And the chef looks like Jake Gillenhal.

This is a really nice pub and well worth visiting. The food was delicious, hats off to the staff. I'd say it's twice the quality for the price you'd get anywhere else.
