The food at the white horse is outstanding. Every time we have been I've been more and more impressed. The staff are friendly and laid back. They have managed to walk the line of being covid safe without leaving you feeling harassed. I adore this pub and will be back as often as I can.

Overall a nice experience and food nice (if I was critical, the swordfish was a tad over done but it wasn't the end of the world). Everything else food wise cooked to a decent standard, nothing too complex, triple cooked chips excellent. Decor cosy, certain seating a tad worn (holes in them) but I suppose it adds to the character. Staff on the ground did an excellent job. Seating outside available to enjoy the summer sun and alfresco dining. Not exactly access friendly (wasn't an obvious easy route) so those with mobility issues, mild warning (happy to be corrected). Price for the meal... Might be the high end of the gastro pub price range, but would still go back for another visit.

Food is fabulous and reasonably priced. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, staff are happy to help in anyway they can. And no one pestering for us to finished our meals. Would recommend.

Lovely pub, but the service could have been quite a lot better. We had to go to the bar and ask someone to come and take our order, despite the pub not being that busy. When we got the food, we ordered more drinks, but two did not arrive, had to ask again. Pleasant enough. Perhaps they were tired out after the \eat out to help out\ offers

We ate outside and the food and the service was excellent. All Covid secure, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Can recommend the fish and chips....all piping hot.
