Fidgets is by far the best kids salon around, I travel from rural Northumberland so my little boy can have his hair cut. They're fantastic so interactive with the little ones and patient!

I was worried my 2 year old wouldn't let the hairdresser near her for her first cut but she did! It helped having her sister there but Fidgets know kids and offered pink cars, moving cars around so we had 2, ipads and we're very friendly. You can only try but it's a perfect place for kids.
I’ve contemplated writing this for a few hours, as I too work in a customer service environment I know how important feedback and reviews are. We got in touch with fidgets after researching somewhere to get my sons hair cut and as he isn’t keen on having it done we felt Fidgets would be the best option to try and keep him distracted whilst he had his hair cut. They didn’t have availability and then got in touch with a cancellation. The appointment started well, my son has quite long hair and the girl asked how much I wanted taken off, we discussed what I wanted and what he needed and agreed she could trim and if we felt it was still too long she could take more off. Great! She started cutting, was quite patient with him as he was fidgeting and wasn’t keen. I kept him occupied a bit and all was going well, we decided he needed to go shorter so she started to work on his hair again and then another “stylist” got involved due to an accident and it “taking too long” she then proceeded to rush and just hack at his hair. We got it short enough but it was not “styled” at all. I got him ready to leave and then was told the price was double as it was a “re-style”. At no point was this mentioned prior to payment and in my eyes it wasn’t a re-style it was cutting long hair shorter, surely this is what hairdressers do?? This should have been advised prior to undergoing the work but once they have started cutting/ hacking away, you really aren’t left with a choice. I understand he took longer than the 20 minute allocated slot but I think this should be taken into account when you are dealing with children as they are unpredictable. I was offered a return visit to tidy it up once it has been washed if there are any “sticky out bits”. Thanks but no thanks. It was the first time visiting Fidgets but I definitely won’t be returning, his hair is a mess and I wouldn’t trust them with it again and the price was ridiculous.

Perfect for children's haircuts. They were very patient with my one year old having his hair cut for the first time and I would definitely go back. Plenty to keep children entertained. Would recommend.
Absolutely brilliant! Our little boy hated his haircut due to sensory issues however this is the first time he has ever let anyone cut his hair without fuss! A complete Miracle! The staff are wonderful!
Fantastic place run by incredibly nice paitent folks. My boy has ASD and really struggled with hair cuts, the staff here have made such a difference with their techniques and attitudes towards him he actually enjoys going now. Can't recommend the place enough.
Fantastic both my boys have had there first hair cuts here and fidgets have made it such a great experience
