Had oysters from The Forge and it was so fresh. Ate them by the beach and it was perfect. Prices are quite reasonable. My boyfriend ordered the donuts and said they were freshly made. I tried one myself and they were so yummy!! Would definitely go back there for more. The only thing I must say is that service can be a bit quicker at the non-oyster queue.

The Forge has amazing super fresh Whitstable Oysters ! You can choose from small, medium, and large. Also If you have Amex you can get 5 cash back for purchase of 10. Eventhough the que is long but it's worth to wait, especially when they are opening your oysters right infront of you !

Fantastic oysters, great to watch them go down and collect them at low tide, and bring them up for the freshest oysters I've ever had!

The best fish & chips I’ve ever had. The batter is stunning & light. The chips have the perfect crunch to soft ratio & I never got that greasy after feeling. Just stunning. Highly recommend the doughnuts! Oysters were lovely & seemed to be priced on par with other nearby establishments. Definitely going back again sometime.

The worst oyster I’ve ever had. Sliced lemon was sandy and staff has less customer service experience for foreigners. The guy after me received order faster. And they don’t tell you the price when you pay so you don’t know how much you payed until you receive the receipt. One guy staff (who was preparing oysters) swapped my three large nicer oysters for the guy who ordered after me. (I was really upset and shocked that happened in front of me but he probably knew I didn’t have enough English to explain or he thought I couldn’t complain). Also, they are probably hiring students for summer, and they lack of communications when they take orders. I was really disappointed the one staff who exchange my oysters to the other person’s order in front of me. We used to come here off seasons. But I will never go back again.
