HUGE thumbs up for this place. Not only is it a cracking micropub with fine ales and lovely staff, their Covid precaution arrangements are top notch. They rightly insist on signing in, there are screens between tables and floor areas are marked and sensible. Outside seating too, with clear markings to keep people at a safe distance. Hand gel everywhere, super-clean lavatories and they clean tables thoroughly between use, even wiping down the seats, walls and the temporary dividers. Very impressive stuff! It now annoys me even more how many places are not even remotely as diligent. Keeping good ale is all about caring and attention to detail. No surprise perhaps that some of the best ale is served in the places also making a proper effort to keep staff and customers safe.

Popped in and really glad I did. Very friendly to both people and dogs! Lovely Kentish brews and really nice folk to talk to. Fell foul of ‘no phone calls’ at first! But soon settled into talking to nice people instead.
