A wonderful example of children's play bringing together a community. Some truly thoughtful staff cater for the play needs of children in the area, maintaining the adventure playground and caring about the neighbourhood. I look forward to hearing more about their future plans for expansion!

excellent free fun day today. kids loved it. There should be more playgrounds like this around.

This is a great local adventure playground for those in Wigan. It has a really good double zip wire, a tower you can climb with 3 slides coming off it, other unusual pieces if equipment and lots of sand. It used to have little sand diggers that the children could operate and swings, but they have unfortunately gone now.

The playground was ok but I think calling it an adventure playground is a little bit of a stretch. It needs a few more things for that I'd say. Anyway that aside, we were having fun in the playground when some of the local kids showed up (around 12 years old I'd say) and proceeded to sit at the bottom of the slide tower, blast out music from a stereo and make a bong with a coke bottle and lighter. Now I'm not a prude and am generally quite liberal on these things but I'm not really keen on it happening next to where my kids are playing so we left. The playground is covered in \monitored for anti social behaviour\ signs but it seems this isn't considered anti social around here. Won't be coming back
