A great place to visit with the kids, loads to do, all interactive. The planetarium and science theatre were booked up, so can't comment on those, (it was half term)

Came here on New year's day. Kids loved it. Its very hands on and very interactive. We saw 2 live shows, the planetarium cinema was really good. Theres a cafe serving hot food and drinks and a small pop up coffee booth downstairs. They also have a small soft play area for under 6's. Highly recommend a visit if you haven't been before.

Went in to visit as they reopened today, so glad to see they have been able to refit the whole place and how much care they are taking with their covid precautions. The science center is a great place for younger kids, and the planetarium is great for all ages depending on what is showing.

I visited in 2018 with my sister and father. I was staying at my sisters in Clanfield and we were looking for somewhere interesting to visit. My sister mentioned this Planetarium as somewhere she had never been and would like to visit. I was looking forward to it as I'd never been into a Planetarium before and was wondering if it would be anything like the one in the film K-PAX. After a 40 minute drive I was very dissapointed to discover the actual Planetarium was in use for some sort of conference and closed to the public. We'd checked the website for details before setting off and I was a little peeved that the website made no mention of the Planetarium being closed. We found this out once we had paid the admission fee. After 5 minutes of looking around the place it was obvious that the venue is really suited to young families with kids up to the age of 12. There was lots of activities/ games with a focus on learning science through play. It's a great venue for kids of junior school age, a good venue for school trips etc, but it's not a destination for older teenagers or adults. We did have a go of a few activities as my sister tried to salvage some value from the admission fee but after just 25 mins I suggested we ask for a refund. Thankfully the staff obliged after we explained that their venue isnt really aimed at aldults and the one thing we wanted to experience was closed that day. I'm not sure if they have changed their pricing since our visit but I'm certain had the Planetarium been open, there was a separate admission fee. If you really want to visit, i'd call them up and ask if admission to the actual planetarium is covered in the admission price.

This place is fun! I took my lady for the after hours show in the Planetarium. The cafe/bar was open for a beer and a snack and and the exhibitions were open for playing with. As a 30 year old ex teacher with an MSc in Physics I was impressed at how the exhibits would engage young kids and encourage them to play around with some pretty fundamental science and engineering concepts. Of course the exhibits were well used and some showed a few signs that they could do with renovating, but I think this is expected in a place that (purportedly) sees 140,000 visitors a year :O Ticket pricing, at 12.50 each adult was fair I thought, much the same price as a cinema ticket after all, and there was definitely more than a few hours of entertainment on a Saturday night. Parking was free after 5 (but at 2 for a day I would not have worried about paying anyway) and doors were open from 7. All the staff were really pleasant, informative and best of all happy. The show in the planetarium was pretty, however the screen could be a higher resolution, often the stars were blurry and the images didn't have the same defined punch as I've seen in other, similar shows. The guided commentary was decent, a modified child friendly presentation, I personally would have liked more in depth information and theory, but again perhaps I am overqualified in this scenario. My girlfriend enjoyed it (which is the most important thing) and it made a really nice, romantic date night that allowed to get back in touch with our inner children. As a side note I have to say that I would not want to be here on a rainy day in the school holidays though, I can imagine it is some small hell on earth full of excited kids and over-stressed parents!
