We had a Family sailing experience with Neil for 3 hours a couple of weeks ago. It was our first experience sailing and we all got a go and had a good time. It was good to learn something about sailing but what struck me most is that it's a very beautiful experience. Recommended.

We did a half day sailing with Ark. What a fabulous experience and good value for money. Neil was a great instructor and allowed you to do as much or as little as you wished. Amazing views with the added bonus of a Hercules and two typhoons fly past.
Unfortunately I did not get to sail with Ark Sailing as I had neck strain (tingles all down my arm) however Ian was extremely understanding and showed throughout the whole booking process that he's a trust worthy good guy which is exactly what you want when you're learning something new. I asked loads of questions before booking and he was so helpful, even offering to meet us at the Bowness boat and be flexible with the course times to fit in with our transport options. The lakes are stunning so hopefully will be back one day and able to learn to sail with him.
We did the level 2 sailing qualification with Ian. Lovely setting for a training school, great little boat and Ian is a fantastic instructor. We came away with a real understanding of boat handling and confidence in sailing. Highly recommended.
We had a fantastic time out on Windemere with Neil. The five of us (four adults and one child) went for the half day general sail and had a great time. Neil showed each of us how to steer the boat, then to tack back and forth across the lake before beating down the lake to Bowness-on-Windemere and sailing back. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and we had the lake to ourselves.
