We have done rock scrambling and gorge scrambling as a family of 3 (16, 46 and51 years old). Both activities were really well organised! We enjoyed both of them a lot with a slight preference towards gorge scrambling! It is just gives you a fantastic sense of achievement and satisfaction when you do them! Did I mentioned the fun?! Highly recommended!

What an amazing morning! Rob took the four of us (kids 9 & 12) for an intrepid trek up Stickle Ghyll. The set piece \games\ in the opening section were actually giving us the skills to do the self-led exploration of the top section of the route. Everything was pitched at the right level for our abilities while still making sure we were pushed. The explanations of the obstacles \we don't do anymore\ gave us the assurance that Lakeland Ascents takes safety seriously, along with the processes they had put in place to make things Covid-secure. The kit felt very new and of good quality (and clean). And finally, the offer to allow us to defer the activity to the next day as the river was too swollen, even though Rob had already prepared everything for the first day anyway, demonstrated that they were interested in getting us the best experience they could. Many thanks to Rob and to Si for giving us \the best day of the holiday\ (9 year old's quote).
Amazing morning Gorge Scrambling at Church Beck, Si made us feel at ease and led us up the Gorge with some games and challenges along the way! We had great fun! We were fully briefed about social distancing and sanitisation methods and it didn’t spoil the experience in any way other than not being able to stroke the amazing gorge scrambling dog that guided our way - just another reason to come back again when we are able to!!!!! Would 100% recommend booking.
I really recommend Si and Lakeland Ascents if you are after a well organised and adrenalin filled activity in the lakes. They were really responsive to my last minute booking request for a day of scrambling, tailored the days route to exactly what I was after (and better than I had hoped for), were very professional throughout the day, and made sure the day was safe, really fun and relaxed. Thank you Lakeland Ascents, I will hopefully be back in the future (especially if you can organise for the sun to be out again!)
We did gorge scrambling at church beck with Rob. It was a brilliant morning. The jumps and the slides were so much fun and Rob was a friendly guide and a lot of fun too. I would recommend this to everybody!
