Really enjoyed it. Couldnt fine a path down that wasn't private until I found this. Nice walk down to the Lake and a great place to let the kids jump and swim in Windermere.

There are a few car parking spaces on the main road and a gate with NationalTrust sign leads down past a lovely water fall to the lake shore. The waterfall might not be much normally but due to some heavy rain it was very nice when we were there. The pier was marked private as were some of the paths so we didn’t explore any further and went up Queen Adelaide’s Hill.
Absolutely do come here if you are a swimmer and want to go in the Lake! It is so very perfect for swimming off the jetty and best to go in the early morning when there is only the swimmers there rather than any families splashing about. If you do though bear in mid that even if it is the summer, this is in the shade in the morning so good to take warm clothes for after
Amazing beautiful place
This picturesque location is a brilliant swim spot or just for a picnic. Can be busy in peak season (May-August) but really depends on weather. Parking is easily accessible and suitable for wheelchairs. Don’t be fooled by the weather, the water can be cold as Windermere is deep. Water activities are available at the main car park. A large, modern children’s playground is located near the car park which is a bonus!
