Got in contact with this hospital trying to see someone from Urology and was willing to pay privately to get an appointment asap as I was concerned about my health. The secretary said that Dr. Richard Stephenson wanted me to get a referral from my GP, which I did. When my GP sent the referral Richard Stephenson suddenly refused to see me for no reason at all. Completely wasted my time and could not have cared less about the worries I was having at the time. What a useless doctor that Richard Stephenson is, do not waste your time here. Will be taking this complaint much further too.

Never been in so much pain/burning sensation just to be put to sleep. Stayed in overnight. Next morning corridor outside my room was like grand central station or a Liverpool pub on a Friday night.. very loud talking by staff. Banging doors.. and televisions blaring.. would not recommend paying to go there... surgeon was the only good thing about whole horrible experience. Couldn’t wait to get out of there. Then I was hounded because I wouldn’t wait for my ride.. and they bombarded my ride with phone calls to his place of employment..

I made an appointment with my surgeon who I have the utmost trust in. I was prepared to pay privately as I do not have private funding. I was happy to pay for my consultation even though the amount was more than quoted in their brochure, I was also happy to pay for the CT scan the following day coat of 600 which was also more than quoted as I wanted a quick result,. It took 2 weeks to get the results sent to my surgeon, meanwhile I was having TIAs. Then I got 3 letters from Spire asking me to pay for my consultation, I had left my bank card details with the reception on my arrival, so I couldn't understand why this amount had not been debited to my account as the 600 for the CT scan was taken out of my account 2 days after the scan. I eventually went in person to Spire to sort this out , I gave them details of 2 debit card numbers but still got a letter asking me for the money. I made a complaint to Spire but was told that the delay was because I didn't make a follow up appointment with my surgeon ( He had agreed to text me with the result which he did and we spoke several times either by phone or texts). I couldn't afford to go privately for any further treatment needed, so I have been referred to another consultant with the NHS. I was asked if I wanted to see him privately at the Spire to which I said a definite \NO\ It's now 4 months on and I am still waiting for an appointment. It seems to me that the money is more important that the patient.

I have had a total knee replacement 7 weeks ago today, I would like my surgeon Mr Robert Harvey is amazing, the best I have ever seen, (No offence to the others), at my age bedside manner and politeness means a lot everything was explained clearly and my op was a success, every one at Murrayfield treated me so well I am overwhelmed all staff where amazing and I mean all, I want to thank you all for your care and support xx thank you from Margaret Dooley

A Private Hospital found in Beautiful surroundings with parking on the wirral. Spire Murrayfield Private Hospital can referred by doctor and then you will need to pay (approximately) in my friends case it was a spinal consultation for 190. Very clean and attractive interior of the Murrayfield Hospital. I Also found the Dr Professional, through and extremely competent. I was only visiting as a guest by would highly recommend.
