We decided to use Booth Tarmacadam because it is a local firm and long established. This was just after the pandemic lockdown was being eased. Mr Booth came round promptly and gave us a quote which we thought was reasonable. However, the work had to be postponed twice which we were not too happy but decided to persevere as we preferred a local firm doing the work. We were told that they had outstanding work which had to be completed first. The weather was fine at that time and two months later, the weather soon changed to constant rain when our driveway was being done. We were concerned because from the internet search, we found out the the tar or asphalt could crumble after some time but we were reassured by the workmen that rain wouldn't make any difference. The workmen were very efficient, came on time and tidied everything up nicely. So, on that point we were very happy with them. Our driveway is now very smart and only time will tell if laying the tar/asphalt in the drizzle was a BIG mistake. We hope not. Mr Booth said to call him if there is a problem and he will come and have a look.
