Lovely place. Went for a kids party. A pain to find though, Google Maps sends you round the back and although the address is Long Lane, it's not on Long Lane, and the only sign on Long Lane is tiny

We were part of a training school that did a display on a family day...The day was wonderful with things going on in the grounds aimed at 'famiky' as well as well as stalls selling crafts. Many things were from local organisations. Excellent day.

Good place although very overpriced for the facilities offered. This is parish council run although via a board of trustees most of which are on the council. Too much money is spent on the place and has never been commercially viable. If the prices were a little more favourable little many other places around the area with much more to offer then they may start to have a steady flow of groups using it. An example, the Circle in town centre offers a comparable room to the Goulding suite, which is charge at 30/hour plus vat and extra for equipment hire, the Circle similar room 12.50/hour including equipment less than half the price. I used the place once for a private meeting and was disturbed several times by children bursting in and shouting screaming as only children do who are excited! It cost 150 for 4 hours and hiring an old OHP. Unlike other places they need to learn to go with the market before the people get annoyed with having to pay to keep a facility which is losing money, going. My personal opinion is they need new blood to both run the council and the civic centre to make both more cost effective
