Really impressed. Went there today and not only did they have everything I needed available it was an excellent price. The fella who owns it is incredibly passionate about what he does and an absolute encyclopedia of astrological knowledge. I can say with confidence that I will come here before looking elsewhere. Anyone interested in astronomy I highly highly suggest these guys.

Would recommend this shop. Had a very useful conversation with Paul that led me to buying my first telescope! Was a bit cautious as I was on a steep learning curve, but his suggested model (Skywatcher Startravel 102) did turn out to be what I needed to get going - not too much magnification, not too large, and the right mount (EQ). All I need now is some clear skies!

Bottom line - avoid this unscrupulous trader who is after pushing a sale and pressuring you into parting with your cash with no recourse. I recently purchased a new telescope from here and was pressured into buying a scope on a great sale as there weren’t too many left. Then before I knew it he had added over 100 of vital bits for it (not vital at all). I would rather have put that 100 towards a decent eyepiece. As soon as I left I then went home to set up the scope and spent a few hours learning that it was reviewed by almost everyone as one of Celestrons worst scopes ever (Astro Fi 90) and the price I paid was more expensive (on a supposed sale) than almost every other supplier in UK. I kept it sealed and unopened and rung the next day with my concerns and he was not interested stating it was a firm sale so there was absolutely no chance of an exchange or refund to get another scope. I went to him to support local businesses, clearly that is not a mistake I will make again. Travel elsewhere or go with the online option but AVOID this money siphoning, pressure selling individual at ALL costs.
I honestly can’t see why anyone would give this shop a bad review brilliant Local shop.Great help and chat from the chap who owns it.I used this shop quite a few times over the years always get a good deal. Would recommend to anyone passionate for astronomy and also beginners.
