Our son has some additional needs, which means that he finds analysis and interpretation of literature quite tricky. Having tried some random tutors in the past, many turned out to be unreliable: cancelling at short notice or unable to really support our son, being unable to channel through to him. Being a teacher myself, as soon as I met Janet, I was able to notice her professionalism and dedication. She immediately put a plan in place to support our son and indeed his grades and confidence did accelerate. We started with two sessions a week and then when sufficient progress had been made, we reduced the sessions to one per week. We will continue to use Janet as our son develops his literary analysis and longer responses will be required.

Janet tutored both of our sons for entrance exam preparation. We didn't hesitate to go back to Janet with our second son as the first had such a great experience. They are both very different learners and personalities - Janet was able to quickly identify their needs and motivate them in the 1:1 sessions- their progress and confidence boost was amazing.
