Having not sung for about 50 years, as I was told I couldn't, and shouldn't, sing, I plucked up the courage to contact Esther. I just wanted to know if I could sing and if I could, should I? Esther was very understanding and during the first lesson, she put me at my ease, with various tasks and very little singing, which was not what I expected, but by the second lesson she had me singing and I realised that her methods and strategies really helped me to begin to sing and to understand how to sing. I would never have believed that after just a couple of hours I would be happy and confident to sing out loud in front of someone. Esther's continual positive encouragement, advice and delight in my growing ability made the sessions so enjoyable and the hours fly by. I have now sung confidently, and loudly, in public several times and am hoping to join an informal singing group. I do encourage you to make that first step if you feel you can't sing but want to. Esther will put you at your ease and help you get over your singing fears and soon you will be singing your heart out. It was a really worthwhile experience and I hope at some time in the future to continue my singing journey with Esther . Thank you! You really have made a difference to my life!

Many years ago, my primary school music teacher told me I couldn't sing. Ever since that time I'd consistently avoided this simple pleasure, even in front of those I loved and knew best. But I was pretty determined to overcome this negative childhood memory and started lessons with Esther with this goal in mind. She was exactly what I needed – despite starting out with terrible nerves and timid tones, she had me belting out songs in front of her sooner than I could have imagined. She was patient and kind, and she really understood what it's like to be afraid to let that part of yourself go. Esther helped me incorporate my voice back into my life, and I'm so happy I found her.

I loved my singing lessons with Esther. I was very nervous initially because I wasn't used to singing in front of anyone, although I loved to sing at home and whenever no one was listening. Esther never pushed me out of my comfort zone, but encouraged me to relax and let go and discover my own sound. She recorded every lesson which meant I could go over all the techniques and exercises at home to practise in between lessons, I still listen to those CDs when I'm warming up my voice. Since my lessons with Esther, I joined a band and have had quite a few gigs around Glastonbury, which I would never have done without Esther's help and tuition. We still miss you in Glastonbury Esther. Thank you for everything and much love to you and the family. :) xx

Esther is a wonderful teacher. I had been frightened to sing ever since a bad experience as a child and she helped me to find my voice. I cannot thank her enough.
