After a lot of looking we found a narrowboat we wanted to see went to look and the marina seemed very nice and helpful. When we went back for the survey at first Simon the owner didn't want to do the river trial.. Then pulled the boat out and got told its going to cost more money on tractor which we payed. We decided to have the boat due to a good survey.. Left the boat out so it could be blacked (we payed for this including anodes) We asked for a quote for some metal work which they just did they didn't actually give us a quote which they proceeded to say if I hadn't paid it before I was taking it away they wouldn't be able to put it in the water. Also before the survey the survey guy phoned and phoned borobridge with no answer. What sort of marina doesn't answer the phone?? We paid for an engine service and at the first lock we got to the throttle cable snapped. There was no oil change nothing. So guess what the engine service never got done.. We viewed it with a back button and low and behold there was no button on the boat which later I told Simon again and again and about 4/5 months down the line we received it.. Issue is apparently it got blacked but one month after..... Its rusted and black is none exsitant.after months of arguing he said he would pay after threatening with court. Its taken at least 2 weeks to get him to pay for the blacking to be done again at our marina as obviously the job wasn't done!! Also the ownership of the boat?! Yeah that's non exsitant So if you are going to buy a boat from either borobridge or staniland that's my experience I've had.. Enjoy!!

This place is diabolical the refused to release the boat until we had paid them for work they hadn't done they did work we didn't ask to have done things where missing from our boat although replaced after much tooing and froing the work they did complete was inadequate and has had to be redone and we have finally received our money back after 6 months of arguing and being lied to and every excuse under the sun I would recommend to avoid like the plague
