Incredible history and views. The access requires to climb some steps, but the views are worthy. You need to book your tickets in advance and the visit lasts as much as you want, but the premises are very small. It is just the tower, but it gives you an idea about what it was. Interesting

A well maintained landmark that can be seen for quite a distance, well worth seeing, and even entering. There's a great view from the hilltop too

Its quirky and doesnt cost a lot to go up which is good. Once you're up, it's one way around the top (due to Covid) and some of the views are good. Car park available too. Would recommend going when it's not raining as I expect it would be less good and the steps would be very slippy

Although it is a tiny building, you can have a wonderful view from the top. Also, if you love history, you can't miss this place.

Great visit and good for the price. Interesting ruins and you can see a lot of history. Nice tour guide too. Good climbing up tower but gave me a few good old nerves at first I will have to say until I got used to it and the views were good. If massively scared of heights would not recommend as it's only one way and once you're up no way back. Although worth it if feeling brave.

Clifford's Tower is a beautiful spot to have lunch and one of my favourite pieces on York. It's opposite the museum which is also well worth a visit, by the topless bus tour stop and across from the river that is very worthy of a boat ride. I am a total fan of York with there being so much to do there.

Price for an adult is around 6.50 unless you have membership to English Heritage (which I did) great to fill in half an hour but you must be for enough to climb the steps to get there which are pretty obvious. Lovely staff, friendly faces, informative history boards to read as you wander through and amazing views of York at the top!! Recommended for history and views. There is a shop within but I did not go inside.

Interesting historical site with wonderful stories that sparked the imagination. Views where amazing staff helpful and friendly. Social distancing in place so felt safe. Bit scary on top as wind very strong!
