I’ve bought from Todds for years and I always call them for electrical work at home too, so they were the logical choice when I was looking for a new kitchen :) I knew I needed more storage so I had an idea what I wanted and Mel, the designer, had some brilliant suggestions for other features so the whole plan came together really easily! The kitchen display in their showroom gave me all the reassurance I needed about quality and the range of choices available was huge! I chose a kitchen made from real wood and there was a fantastic choice of modern beautiful colours! We had a delay in the fitting due to COVID-19 but both Mel (from Todds) and Nick from the fitters we’re in touch the whole time and communication was great! The taking out of the old kitchen was done in a day and the preparation (which included a lot of plastering!) was smooth and problem free. The fitting process was very logical and methodical and I was kept very well informed of timescales and the ‘next job on the list’. Mike the fitter was brilliant, very conscientious and a hard worker. He also made a couple of practical suggestions which I hadn’t thought of and which proved to be very useful indeed! My kitchen is now very tidy and organised and very easy to keep clean, especially with the oven being at mid-height! Brilliant! There were a few snags to address at the end, but they were handled quickly and easily and I am delighted! My new kitchen is beautiful! It feels spacious and modern and light and I love it! Thank you :)

We recently bought a new 50' Samsung TV from Herbert Todd - their advice was brilliant and saved us some money. The best thing was the delivery, installation and set-up of the TV and taking away the old TV for recycling - Highly recommend. It's also nice dealing with a good local business.

Went to Herbert Todd & Son - York in Monks Cross. Despite my partner being exempt from wearing a face mask she was refused service as apparently everyone had to wear one. Even though a staff member wasn't wearing a mask she still wasn't allowed in. Saved enough money for a washer, tumble dryer, a cooker and a few other electrical items that were needed. Il take the 1.950 somewhere els thanks . In response to the response below from the store. I'm aware of the government guidelines as I work closely with them myself. My partner doesn't have a son, she has three girls , one 7 and a set of twins both 8. My partner was asked by a slightly larger gentleman if she had a mask, she replied that she was exempt to which he replied, I'm sorry but it's mandatory and you've got to wear a mask in the shop. She took this to mean that she won't be served so she left with her Daughter. It made her feel very small, humiliated and upset as this was in front of other customers and staff. I feel proper training should be given to staff members on how they speek to customers as I though that customer service was part of the job, it is in my line of work. Your store lost out on nearly 2 grand, we are now nearly 2 grand lighter. OK, whatever??????

Went for advice on our tv, and they didn't have what we needed but staff went out of there way yo help find in another store, highly rated customer service

I went in looking for a freezer for the garage. Upon arrival where were no pushy sales person. After looking around for about five minutes, a sales person asked if they could help. I explained I was researching the brand so he gave a bit of background, which was consistent with what I had found online. The price was inline with other retailers. Overall a good shopping experience.
