A small area of chalk grassland on the north side of Hudson Way footpath, about 1 km to the west of the old Kiplingcotes railway station. It is an absolute sun trap in good weather but exposed in wind and rain. A great place for wild flowers, insects and birds, it is brilliant for getting small children interested in nature. All of our kids have spent happy hours here; pootering and using insect identification charts. Dogs must be kept on a lead to protect ground nesting birds and lizards.
