We ordered through uber eats at 6:30pm, our order estimated arrival was 7:15, it is now nearly 9pm. We've called twice and have been told they don't have enough drivers and will be half an hour both times, once at 7:30 and again at 8pm, now they're not picking up the phone. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE CAPACITY DON'T ACCEPT SO MANY ORDERS, DUH?!!! It is new year's eve, it is a busy time, if you can't cope with the amount of orders let us cook our own food instead of making us wait 3 hours for an order. Ridiculous. We want to cancel the order but they won't pick up, we've already made ourselves a nice meal and some tiramisu while we were waiting

We find ourselves here again during this miserable Covid period in December, really just for a quiet meal (for the two of us) at our favourite Indian restaurant! Oh my gosh, tonight's meal was to die for (as usual tbf) and has cemented our belief that this simply is the BEST Indian restaurant in the North of England... Yep, seriously... I have visited SO many. Now, we could be selfish Gemma and I and save this as a hidden gem as we quite like getting a seat ourselves BUT we feel it would only be fitting to the staff to write a lovely review and encourage you to go! PLEASE... visit the lovely welcoming staff at Mirchiz (Fishergate, York) for incredible friendly service and the best food around :) You won't be disappointed!!!!!

Mirchiz serves quality food. Dishes are delicious and freshly cooked. Affordable menu, great atmosphere and friendly staffs. It's a hidden gem away from city centre. If you're in York, this is the Indian place you should be visiting. Highly recommended.
