A must-visit when in York, Penny's Bespoke Foodhouse is a family-owned business that serves one of the tastiest full English breakfasts in town! There was a bit of a wait, but we didn't mind as the ambiance inside the restaurant was lovely. The waitstaff were also incredibly friendly and a good source for local sightseeing tips. Overall, it's a great place to fuel up (the portion sizes are quite generous!) before heading out for a full day of exploring.

Great little place run by a lovely lady and her son. Breakfast was cooked exactly to your liking and worth the little wait as it is piping hot when it gets to your table. Excellent value and a lovely community feel. Will definitely be back next time we are in York!

I have a severe egg allergy and the staff at Penny’s did everything possible to make sure that I was looked after, checking food and using separate cooking equipment. The breakfast was delicious, allergy-safe, and the atmosphere is lovely and chilled. Totally recommend if you have allergies, or just love yummy food.
