A Very personal tour with only a handful of other guests (only 6 people on a Tuesday evening). Our tour guide was Mackenzie, she was very knowledgeable about the usual ghost stories of York, along with the back stories and histories behind them. Mackenzie is very charismatic, friendly, and she even dresses the part. Our tour started at 8pm and lasted for about an hour and a half. Definitely a unique to-do experience in York. This tour is special for the small size, personal touch, and Mackenzie's extra historical knowledge. It is a ghost walk, so the history can be a bit spooky and disturbing. But I found it to be great fun.

What a great tour! Mackenzie is informative and entertaining. We saw parts of the city we wouldn't have normally whilst Mackenzie told us historical and haunting tales of York. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see darker side of York.

Brilliant. Went with my boyfriend and we both had great fun. The lady talked loudly and clearly so we could hear even when we were spread out in our bubbles (Covid). Loved how she told us some of her personal experiences on top of the basic stories. Made it very more realistic. Would defiantly recommend to people.

Brilliant tour, great host and stories about the history of York and some of its ghostly residents. Very personable and takes the time to take you round some of the most notable attractions. Will be recommending to friends and family! Hopefully get to do it again too!

My husband and I went on the tour with Mackenzie and had a great time! She's a fantastic story teller and had a lot of great historical information to share as well as ghost stories. I would definitely recommend. :-)
