Lovely Christmas market. We had a lot of fun checking out the various shops. Good choices to eat and drink as well and the spiced mulled wine and cider are a must in the cold. Lots of great places for desserts with Yorkshire chocolates, brownies, etc. The decorations were amazing as well. Highly recommended to spend a good few quality hours here to soak in the festive atmosphere.

Pretty good, as Christmas markets go. The weather wasn't too good so it was just busy, not crowded. Plenty of the usual things on sale, from everyday goods to very "Christmasy" creations. It seemed to have spread out even further through the city this visit, compared to a year ago. Kept tidy by city workers. A good day out.

Love Love Love the York Christmas market!!! Easy walking distance from train station. Fabulous Christmas feeling with music, food and so many shops/stands. Street entertainers are found throughout the market as well. Stay into the evening to snuggle up with that special someone and a hot drink while walking around to get that special Christmas feeling!!!!

Really enjoyed this Xmas market. Lots of good quality stalls. If you like cheese , fudge and gin you will spend a fortune. At the bottom of the market is Thor’s pop up bar , well worth a visit we had a coffee and a hot chocolate which were really nice and not expensive. They also sell alcoholic drinks .

I found the market this year to be quite underwhelming with little in the way if variety. Probably good if you like gin, less so if you don't. Gins, a couple of small craft stalls, Christmas decoration stalls, two or three stalls selling wool clothing, and a few cheese/chutney stalls. Didn't spot beers, ciders, vodkas, other food variations, varied or interesting craft items. It all felt quite samey, which is incredible for a relatively short walk between each end.
