To be honest, it's hard to decide what rating to give. I would say that it's good good quality, but not the best I've had and that unless you benefit from an offer or discount, you will see that it can feel a bit pricey. Let's break it down: Staff and venue: Very friendly staff that will give you a good service and in a timely manner. The place is nice and clean but nothing outstanding. The food: I can't complain about the quality of the food. However, you will see that the portions of the starters are really small for what you are paying. Regarding the mains, I can only judge the meet. If you like meat, you will not be disappointed as CAU is all about steaks. Price: I've been to a lot of steakhouses and I feel that CAU is slightly expensive for what you get. It's ok, if you have a discount or voucher. Again, in some cases like the starters, it defenetly feels overpriced. I also don't like places where the tip is already included in the bill. I always tip, but I do it based on my free will to do so and that's the whole point of a tip. I will go back, and I guess it's fine as long as you are aware of all these things.

I’ve been here a few times and CAU has been consistently good, great steak and always cooked as ordered. The wine list and dessert menu are updated frequently to keep a bit of variety in the menu. Staff and polite and very attentive.
Had wonderful birthday / st Valentines day dinner.. service excellent, food perfect... steak so smooth, just perfect... worth every penny
Delicious burgers and very nice service.
Been in several times now most recently between Christmas and new years. Had a great time every time every time. Were seated at the bar first as it was so busy as the table was being cleaned. The bartender had drinks for us immediately and the cocktail that my friend ordered the 'cau girl martini' went down very well. The rest of our evening was just as great and the steaks were cooked brilliantly. Will return again soon.
Lovely meal outside at CAU tonight. We eat at CAU Didsbury quite regularly and always eat steak but, enjoying the April heat, I had the supercharged salad with chicken and my mum had the sea bream. Neither of us could fault our mains. Both were absolutely delicious! Service was also fantastic- Aidan was lovely. I wish we had room for dessert as the Dulce Volcano is a favourite of mine! Let’s hope for more lovely didsbury weather soon, so we can enjoy another delicious meal at CAU!
Brought the family here after recently moving to the area and it looked good. Was left pretty disappointed by a place that views itself as a steakhouse. The food was average at best, especially for the price. The sides have to be bought separately for most of the meals. The service was disappointing too, having to wait over 45 minutes for them to bring out the steaks. Its a shame as I had high hopes but won't be visiting again.
Food when finally served was excellent ..staff polite and friendly and helpful .. but with a full house, rather over stretched.. menus had to be requested..and service very slow, its not cheap..drinks especially pricey! If in a group expect a 10% service charge.. modern and clean inside although the ceiling lights hung so low you have to be careful not to bump your head on them..plus the long canteen style table was cramped and awkward for a party of 10.. it's good but has areas needing attention
