Wonderful reserve well managed by the RSPB. Home to one of the largest colonies of Corncrakes in the UK the coastline is one of vast seascapes and brooding skies. Many wading birds, gulls and wildfowl live here supplying food for the birds of prey including the elusive Hen Harrier.

The weather made it! We picked a really great day to walk around the reserve. Great views of Terns and Lapwings (with chicks). Thankful for the catering at the Visitor centre afterwards.

Exhilarating walk - enjoying the sound of the curlew over the wind.
