Various routes up to this monument which go through woodlands mainly before reaching the top. The views are breath taking and there is a well placed toposcope to tell you what the hills and landmarks are. Worth making the effort and appreciate how this Admiral was remembered and honoured

My first walk for a long long time. Despite this I was determined to do it as is only on my door step. For a novice like me going up is quite hard work but saying that I have throughly enjoyed the walk with absolute spectacular views over Shropshire and Wales.
I used to see this in the distance from Hawkstone Park for years and always wondered what it was. I finally tracked it down found it and went for the first time in the early 2000's. I've been up in the summer and winter and I still think this is one of the best views in this part of the world. It's a surprising walk up it and may be harder than some think. But it's worth it. I love this place. I saw it today in the distance from Bickerton hills. I haven't been for a few years and I can't wait to go back. For those that love sweeping 360 views and no crowds then visit it. It's a wonderful place. I especially recommend a winter day esp if snow has fallen. It's magical.
Brilliant vantage point with smashing views all around. Located not far from Welshpool, it's a great way to get outdoors with a great reward without too much arduity.
Nice clean car park and a steady walk up and up and up! The view from the top is stunning and the woodlands are very pretty.
What a lovely walk up rodney pillar.
A great sight and walk to the summit with beautiful views, and a real tourist attraction, there are two ways up there, one is really steep, the second much easier.
Lovely walk and views.
