I called on AFRICAN Caribbean Funeral Homes when my grandma passed and to be fair they were really kind and showed me an excellent level of professionalism. Death in the family was totally new to me as we haven’t had the opportunity to deal with any direct deaths in our family. I went in to see them and they showed me so much compassion I felt at ease. They took care of my grandma from the moment she was taken from the mortuary till she was laid to eternal rest. I want to say a big thanks to this wonderful team of brilliant black men and I will highly recommend them to handle the passing of any loved one.

I rang for a friend. The lady was very nice but the manager she passed me on to was quite curt and unfriendly. When my friend called I was upset but not entirely shocked when she reported that he was rude, incompassionate and quoted her 25% higher than the others. Its not easy to deal with funeral arrangements or bereavement especially during covid. I regret forwarding her to this company. Thought they would be more understanding as they are part of our community. No such luck

They did my uncles funeral back in May. It was very well done, they were very understanding and did everything they could to help everything run smoothly. They had great customer service and they made sure the actual funeral was everything we wanted despite the difficulties created by corona.

I called to make an enquiry about a recently passed family member, and the gentleman on the phone was extremely unprofessional and arrogant. Without knowing who I am or what beliefs I have, he said the way I was speaking was undignified. From my point of view, it seemed as though he put his personal beliefs over mine which is just outrageous. Not something I would expect from a funeral director. The phone call left me in tears. There was no respect or regard for my feelings whatsoever. I definitely will not be using these funeral directors and would not recommend to anyone.
