Hidden gem in the middle of busy Birmingham, arts and craft house and beautiful sunken gardens. Is it that or the access to the edgbaston reservoir which makes this my favourite garden visit? I'll have to go again to help me decide.

A something for everyone garden, I have been visiting for past 20 years, my kids have rolled on the grass, and we have accidentally dipped our feet into the water at the stepping stone. The glasshouses have been a welcome rest spot Each season brings amazing colour, and this autumn is no exception, glorious riot of oranges. yellows, pinks and red from leaves. Mushrooms looking good too! Keep up the great work everyone!

Such beautiful grounds, with an atmospheric calmness & serenity about them. From tunnels & bogs, to high trees, bridges & meadows. Walking amongst these grounds is a pleasure to behold & to take in the wondrous sights of the old house & its history. Do take time to look at the carnivorous plants, for they are amazing.

Lovely period house with amazing, colourful gardens, displaying an array of plants and trees, from a variety of tropical ones in the greenhouses, to the more traditional ones in the walled gardens. Then there's the many other varieties in the rest of the many lawned gardens on various levels. It also has a very relaxing outdoor terrace at the back of the building, where you can sit and enjoy a drink and food, overlooking the immediate grounds, while soaking in the beautiful and peaceful surroundings. There's a little gift shop and bookshop on site too to browse around. Definitely worth the trip and day out there

Only went once in 2008 so memory a bit hazy. But would be nice to go again after lockdown ends. Spring or summer would be best.
