We just visited the Stag and Hounds for a light lunch and a drink. We had two sandwiches which were delicious but at a cost of eight and a half pounds each, I think they should be. After tasting three of the bitters offered, none tasted good so I had a pint of cider which was mediocre at best. Service at the bar was poor but the woman who bought the food later was friendly. The pub has a lovely big garden with lots of tables and chairs but was empty when we were there. I definitely would not return here. Expensive and poor service.

Just tried the new takeaway Sunday roasts and they were delicious!! Pick up was really well organised. Food was well packaged and the portions were incredibly generous! Will definitely be back.
Absolutely fantastic meal as always. Great service again, as always. Also great to support the local pubs and restaurants in this difficult time! Will always recommend!

I had a meal here in July and it was nice but my recent meal on the bank holiday Monday wasn't great. It was busy as you would expect being a bank holiday and the fact that it was the last day the eat out to help out scheme. The service was slow to say the least empty glasses were not taken away from the tables and the food was mediocre. I had the same meal as I did in July and it wasn't the same qaulity as it was prior to the scheme. The pubs good for a drink on a nice day with a nice garden and hopefully the food will revert back to my previous experience now the scheme has ended.
