Some staff waiting and eager to pounce on you - I guess because it's a dull and boring job. They watch you closely even if you're a genuine keen recycler. They yearn for you to do something wrong (by accident) so they can talk down to you and gather in a group and point at you. Unhelpful staff and some are rude and unprofessional. Get a little anxious before going there. Not a pleasant experience depending who's on shift.

My anxiety has been through the roof about going to the tip during covid, completely put at ease today. Very well managed with incredibly friendly and helpful staff.
Household waste that is not collected as part of the kerbside recycling service can be sorted and taken to Household Waste and Recycling Centres. To make use of these facilities, you must be a resident of Neath Port Talbot County Borough, and be recycling or disposing of your own household waste. These sites are licensed by the Environment Agency to accept household waste only. The Household Waste & Recycling Centres will not accept trade or commercial waste generated by business activities.
I am concerned about the random checks at the gate of this site. I have been stopped twice now to go through general rubbish that was missed by refuse collection because it was stuck in the wheelie bin. I am careful about recycling and resent being asked to tear open rubbish bags so staff can check inside, while most other cars are sent through if they have general rubbish. How do the men at the gate decide who to stop? It is intimidating as a woman on my own. The staff at the top are different, they are very helpful.
Every visit is the same. Polite and helpful staff and it runs like a well oiled machine. Always a pleasant experience.
