The Clarence an excellent place to come, bright welcoming and polite and courteous staff, smiling all time whilst there the food good choice but the 3 small courses for 15 a bargain and have great choice on real ales which happily let you sample to find the one that suits your preference. A thoroughly enjoyable experience happily would return

A really nice place to go for a drink or a meal. At the moment quiet end if Bury centre. But still in easy access from bus or car. Great selection real ales, pulled from proper hand pumps. Covering a wide range, something for everyone. Good selection of food and all was really nice. So would recommend it. Great styling and a lovely old building. Great to see.
I simply liked their dishes. I always get excellent service there. The place is well organised and the cashiers are always super friendly. Will come visit again.
After phoning the owner @theclarencebury and asking for a unique veggie dish; he not only rustled up a Mediterranean ciabatta (that included cheese & aubergine), but threw in chunky chips too. This one off take away special humbled me and my tastebuds. Thank you.
This spot never fails to deliver. They have fresh dishes for affordable rates, there no long wait even when the place is full.
