Lovely friendly place and great for the kids that like animals and birds. Plenty of free range ducks & geese with rabbits, chipmunks, goats and various other animals!

So I've seen some fairly harsh reviews so I'll start by addressing them. Is this a top notch wildlife park? No... And to be honest they've never advertised it as such. Is it over priced for what it is? No, I think the prices are fair, 5 for an adult, 15 for 2 adults 2 children (or 21 for a year, what's not to like there?). I think the best way to see it is a cafe with some additional attractions that cost a little bit to use. It's essentially a nice way to relax for an hour or 2, let the kids feed the birds and fish, have a bit of a play in the play area and enjoy some good food (the butternut squash soup was amazing and that's not me exaggerating, best I've had). So on to the cons.... It does feel a little bit dated (not the café, that would be a silly complaint as it sticks to it's historic roots), and as with any outside toilets they aren't the nicest but that's it really. Overall there's nothing that will stop me from bringing my family back. Staff are lovely, the animals appear to be well cared for, the food is good, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. It's a lovely place to take your time, and unwind. I could see myself coming back as a family, as a couple or just alone, just to enjoy the animals for a bit, then sit near the river enjoying a cream tea or a good value lunch. I could see this being great for mental health too.

Whilst I realise that the COVID-19 situation has been hard, 2 adult and 1 child’s tickets cost me about 13.45 or thereabouts. We saw some geese, swans, goats a stork a flamingo and not a lot else. Now the cafe section was delicious but they had one person doing admissions, taking food orders AND doing ice creams ( they took ages). You can use the cafe WITHOUT paying the entrance fee and I would suggest that’s what you do.
