I had something that needed to be done urgently so went down at 9am (opening time) to ask for help as well as sending Facebook messages and an email. They directed me to fill in the relevant documents on the e-consular service then got me an appointment at 10. Service inside was friendly enough and I got the document I needed within the hour. Later in the day I realised that I needed another thing, so emailed them just before 3 (closing time) and they responded swiftly. Having spent many hours in Brazil and the UK dealing with bureaucracy, this has been my best experience of getting documents issued and certified. Thank you to everyone who helped my wife and son get home I think some people in the comments don't realise that it isn't the consulate that makes the rules, and that if they read instructions properly then they can get their issue resolved.
I have a great experience with this consulate this morning me and my wife was quite surprised to be honest, the attention from the attendant also very helpful..
This is the worst consular service I have ever come across, the online system is very beurocratic and not easy to navigate. They request a million documents for a simple process such as for renewing a passport. They don't respond to emails or take many days to respond and when they do respond it's useless and never get to the point. If you have such inefficient and incompetent people working at the consulate then at least make the website/online services more user friendly and less beurocratic. This place needs a complete reform, it's a disgrace.
One of the worst service I have ever received. The website is very poor, too difficult to use and most of time doesn’t work. Usually receive a response to queries but the response in most of cases are not useful at all. They know Brazilian people have no choice but rely on them. They service is very expensive and I would never pay for it if I have the choice to go with someone else. They are aware we have no choice and maybe that’s the reason the service is so bad.
