I came across this place out of the blue parked up for 5 minutes. Decided to go and venture. Wonderful to see them still standing, mind be careful it does say their may be unattended mines still left about however i didn't come across any.

Quiet, unlittered and fairly accessible - if you are able bodied. You can park by the side of the road and walk up to the big ruined building fairly easily, but be warned, it is rocky and steep in places. Good to go up to the top so you can see all along the valley, but you need to be fitter than me to do that!
A very interesting place with a lot of history. The locals are lovely, a few walked past while we stopped for some coffee and they explained the history and how cold it is in the winter! It is a quiet place to look at the scenery and is really nice!
Great views amazing rds
I just stopped the car because it looked interesting. I had no idea what was there, a bare bleek area that must have been freezing in winter. Worth a look at the ruins in this unusual area, it doesn't take long to see them.
An amazing historical site both above and below ground. Excellent for photos of ruins and alien landscapes. You may find some good minerals in the spoil if you're patient enough. Or try and arrange a trip with a caving club to see the spectacular world further underground.
Had a loverly day out with my wife , taking in the scenary .
Very interesting area to explore.
