Great food in a really interesting location although to be honest looks a whole better on the inside. Loads of outdoor seating, we had to go down some steps but I assume there is another route too. Some parking very close by.

If you like South East Asian food it’s hard to find a better restaurant than East, on the banks of the River Nene in Peterborough. The food is delicious, perfectly cooked and just the right amount so that we felt satisfied but not over full and the prices were reasonable, although you do need to be wary of the compulsory tip (i.e. a service charge) being added to your bill without warning. With friendly trained staff, white linen tablecloths, excellent food and a relaxing atmosphere, it is a great place for lunch or dinner. This wasn’t our first visit and it won’t be our last.

I really enjoy a Thai Green Curry, and have had it in many places in the UK. However, I was very surprised and dissapointed at the small portion of white rice received at an extra cost to my curry (pictured). I had to order 2 bowls of rice to accompany my curry, each bowl costing 2.95. A total of about 16 for green curry in Peterborough. A much higher price than the equivalents I've had in London.
