Proper jazz. And by that I mean brilliant virtuoso musicians playing songs you've never heard of. Excellent musicianship. Staff very good. Drinks good value. 6 entry, which was well worth it.

Good music. Good drinks. Band were very enjoyable. Main suggestion is to adjust the layout of the tables. Some feel very tucked put of view and some are just in the way of dancing or even walking!

I LOVE this place. It's so fun! I've seen a few gigs here, and Swamp Frog is my favorite so far. Incredibly danceable, pumping New Orleans style jazz. The other groups we've seen have also been thoroughly enjoyable. Drinks are not cheap, especially if you're used to the prices in student-centered places like Teviot. \u003e4 for almost all beers/other drinks. The mulled cider and ginger beer are delicious though. It's also pretty small, so it would be hard to get seats if you have a group bigger than a few people. Not impossible though - I just went with a group of 4 and we managed to scrounge together some chairs. That said, 110% give this place a visit. The atmosphere and the music by far make up for the small drawbacks.

We had a really great time here, friendly staff and a really wonderful mixture of people. The jazz is brilliant and the atmosphere was great. I highly recommend The Jazz Bar to everyone!

Love this place. Simple, a little quirky, lively. It does get busy as the place isn't huge but to me it only adds to the atmosphere and it's not "can of sardines" packed
